Volvo Group India recently organized a STEM education workshop at Kendriya Vidyalaya, DRDO, Bangalore, to inspire young students, especially girls, to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs.
Hands-On Learning Experiences
The Yukti workshop saw participation from over 240 students from Grades VIII and IX. The event was attended by Kamal Bali, President and Managing Director of Volvo Group India, and Radhika Nair, Head of People & Culture at Volvo Group India. The workshop was conducted by Volvo volunteers. The workshop introduced students to STEM concepts through interactive activities, including:
Commitment to STEM and Inclusion
Kamal Bali emphasised the company’s focus on creating a future-ready talent pool. “Through initiatives like Yukti, we are inspiring young girls to explore careers in STEM and bridging the gap between academia and industry,” he said.
Radhika Nair highlighted Volvo’s efforts toward diversity and inclusion, stating, “As part of Volvo Group's global DEI mission, we aim to empower young girls to break barriers and become the next generation of technology leaders.”

The Kendriya Vidyalaya workshop is part of Volvo Group India’s broader goal of strengthening STEM education. Volvo hopes to equip students with the skills needed for future industrial advancements by providing hands-on exposure to advanced technologies.
