VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) has formed a joint venture with iTriangle Infotech, a renowned developer of telematics solutions. VECV is a collaboration between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors. This collaboration seeks to create and deploy cutting-edge fleet management solutions aimed for truck and bus customers across a variety of applications.
The official agreements for the foundation of this joint venture were signed, according to a regulatory filing by VECV. This collaboration is a significant step towards improving digitalisation and technology integration in the transportation sector.
This new joint venture will focus on developing industry-leading telematics fleet management technologies. These systems will use telematics hardware devices offered by iTriangle, showing a synergistic cooperation maximizing the strengths.
Improving Service Portfolio
Through this new venture, VECV hopes to expand its service range for Eicher truck and bus clients. This program aims to meet the constantly changing needs of India's people and logistics ecosystem, as well as chosen export markets.
It reflects a forward-thinking strategy to leveraging technological improvements to increase operational efficiency and customer happiness in the transportation industry.
Improving connectivity and fleet management
iTriangle CEO and Co-founder Vadiraj Katti expressed joy for the collaboration, citing VECV's pioneering role in advancing digitalisation and technology adoption in India's transportation sector. He stressed that the alliance would make a substantial contribution to developing and providing advanced fleet management solutions to the sector.
VECV MD & CEO Vinod Aggarwal emphasized the company's commitment to connectivity, adding that Eicher took the initiative to implement 100% connectivity for its trucks and buses more than five years ago.
This has enabled round-the-clock monitoring of all Eicher trucks and buses at the Uptime Centre. The MyEicher App gives consumers unrestricted access to modern fleet management technologies, demonstrating the company's commitment to using technology to improve customer service.
"The JV with iTriangle is the next step in this journey," Aggarwal said, emphasizing the partnership's strategic relevance.
