Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Company Limited, has signed a Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) with Dr Abhay Firodia Group of Companies to supply green power for 25 years under the Group Captive Scheme.
Under this agreement, Dr Abhay Firodia Group of Companies - Force Motors Ltd and Jaya Hind Industries Pvt Ltd will utilise 6.2MW and 7.0MW for 25 years, respectively. Force Motors will be consuming 13.64 Million Units (MU) of power annually while Jaya Hind Industries will consume 15.4 million units annually.
Significance of The Partnership
This strategic partnership marks a significant step forward to sustainable energy solutions. This project showcases TPREL’s commitment to providing eco-friendly energy alternatives with an expected reduction of an estimated 21,200 metric tons of carbon emissions per year.
Located in Achegaon, Maharashtra, this project has a goal to generate 29.04 MUs of green power annually. This project is scheduled to be completed within 12 months of the signing of the PDA.
As per the agreement, Dr Abhay Firodia Group of Companies will enjoy a reliable energy source while actively contributing to environmental sustainability.
