Switch Mobility, Ashok Leyland's electric vehicle business, marked a significant milestone with the introduction of the first IeV 4 electric light commercial vehicle from its Hosur plant.

Switch Mobility's IeV series of electric light commercial vehicles (e-LCVs) began production with the IeV 4. The company intends to produce around 3,000 units each year, catering to a variety of uses such as cargo transportation, containers, garbage collection, and refrigerated vans.
Switch Mobility IeV4 is a truck designed and built to deliver the best performance and maximum profitability for the owners. It can easily handle immense workloads for urban and rural applications while producing zero emissions.

Switch Mobility has secured Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for the procurement of 12,000-13,000 electric Light Commercial Vehicles (e-LCVs), highlighting a robust initial market demand.
This follows the recent appointment of Pushkar Sinha as Switch Mobility's Head of Sales for e-LCVs. Sinha, an experienced commercial vehicle industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, offers knowledge from top businesses such as Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, and Piaggio. He was previously the Vice President of Business Development and OEM Relations for Sun Mobility.
