Scania Commercial Vehicles India has opened a new corporate office in Bengaluru, marking a significant step in its expansion within the country. The launch event took place in the presence of Jan Thesleff, the Swedish Ambassador to India, highlighting the company's commitment to the Indian market.
Alongside the office opening, Scania announced a white-label financing program in partnership with Axis Bank. This initiative aims to provide accessible and affordable financing options for customers purchasing Scania trucks in India. The program follows the recent debut of the Scania Super model, which generated strong market interest.
The new Bengaluru office is designed to strengthen Scania's presence and support ecosystem in India. It enables closer collaboration with customers, dealer partners, financial institutions, and other stakeholders. The office also serves as a hub for attracting skilled talent, fostering innovation, and supporting operational excellence.
Scania confirmed that its Regional Product Centre (RPC) in Narasapura remains fully operational. The RPC provides end-to-end capabilities and delivers tailored solutions to customers across key markets. This demonstrates Scania's ongoing commitment to offering customised support and maintaining a robust local presence.
The newly launched financing program with Axis Bank is designed to help commercial vehicle operators invest in Scania trucks with confidence. Munish Sharda, Executive Director at Axis Bank, stated that the partnership combines strong product capability with structured financing expertise. The goal is to support long-term fleet growth and create value for customers.
Through this collaboration, Scania aims to make it easier for customers to access high-performance vehicles and expand their operations. The program reflects the industry's shift towards higher efficiency, sustainability, and business resilience.
Jan Thesleff, Ambassador of Sweden to India, emphasized that the inauguration of the Bengaluru office is a milestone for Scania and a testament to the deepening partnership between Sweden and India. He noted that both countries are working together to drive progress in trade, innovation, and sustainability.
Martin Stahlberg, Senior Vice President Asia and Oceania at Scania CV AB, highlighted India's importance in Scania's global growth strategy. He stated that the new office reinforces Scania's focus on building sustainable capabilities and delivering long-term value in key markets.
The Bengaluru office features collaborative layouts, energy-efficient lighting, climate control systems, and sustainable materials. These elements align with Scania's commitment to sustainability and the Swedish open work culture. Senior Scania executives, key customers, dealer partners, and financial partners attended the opening ceremony.
