Magenta Mobility, a key player in electric mobility solutions, has partnered with Bosch Mobility Platform and Solutions. The aim is to improve Magenta's digital infrastructure and backend operations to support its future growth. This step is expected to help Magenta build a secure, scalable, and strong digital system.

Bosch to Provide Technical Support

Under the agreement, Bosch will offer help in cloud engineering, infrastructure and digital operations, and managing vulnerabilities. This will support Magenta’s plans to grow while keeping its systems efficient and secure.

Fleet Expansion Plans

Magenta currently operates over 2,700 electric vehicles in seven cities across India. It now plans to increase this number to 10,000 electric cargo vehicles by 2026. This is part of its campaign, Ab Ki Baar Dus Hazaar, which also focuses on creating more jobs for India’s gig workers.

Magenta’s Technology Stack Will Stay In-House

Magenta has developed its own technology systems, like its telematics platform NorMinc and other mobility tools. These will continue to be managed by the company itself. Bosch’s role will be to support and improve the digital operations without replacing Magenta’s core systems.

Leadership Insights:

Maxson Lewis, CEO of Magenta Mobility, said that technology is a key part of the company’s operations and future plans. He added that Bosch’s help with digital infrastructure will support their long-term goals.
Pradeep Ramachandra, CTO at Bosch MPS, shared that their focus will be on helping Magenta build a strong digital base that supports India’s shift towards electric mobility.

Company Operations and Impact

Magenta currently operates in more than 18 cities. It serves sectors like e-commerce, groceries, FMCG, and pharma, mainly focusing on mid- and last-mile deliveries. The company has 100 charging stations, makes 1.4 million deliveries every month, and has covered 35.2 million clean kilometers so far. It has also helped save 1,030 tonnes of carbon dioxide and employs over 2,700 delivery staff.
