Gulf Oil and Piaggio Renew Partnership Until 2030 for lubricant solutions

Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited (Gulf Oil) and Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd (Piaggio India) have renewed their exclusive strategic partnership until 2030. The collaboration aims to deliver co-branded and genuine lubricants for Piaggio’s commercial vehicles in India and select export markets. 

Agreement Highlights 

Diego Graffi, the Chairman and Managing Director of Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, and Ravi Chawla, the Managing Director and CEO of Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited, signed the agreement. Since its inception in 2020, the partnership has focused on developing lubricants tailored to Piaggio’s BS VI and electric vehicle range, enhancing vehicle performance and durability. 

Commitment to Growth and Innovation 

Ravi Chawla highlighted that the renewed partnership aligns with Gulf Oil’s strategy to provide specialised lubricants for diverse vehicle segments, including electric vehicles. He pointed out that India’s infrastructure development and growing commercial vehicle market present opportunities for expanding Gulf Oil’s reach. 

Exclusive Lubricant Supplier for Piaggio 

Under the renewed agreement, Gulf Oil will continue as Piaggio India’s exclusive lubricant supplier for factory fill, workshops, and retail channels. This includes advanced BS VI oils and fluids designed specifically for electric vehicles, catering to Piaggio’s growing customer base. 

Driving Electric Mobility 

Diego Graffi expressed confidence in the collaboration, emphasising Gulf Oil’s role in enhancing vehicle performance. He noted that Gulf’s focus on EV fluids aligns with Piaggio’s push towards electric mobility in the lightweight and three-wheeler EV segments.

The partnership combines Gulf Oil’s expertise in lubricant technology with Piaggio India’s focus on vehicle efficiency, aiming to drive product development and customer service innovations.
